Mr. L. is an excellent tutor. My 13yr old son was having great difficulty with Algebra (multiplying and dividing radicals) and had significantly fallen behind. My son took a test and received a 20%! He had a tutoring session with Mr. L. and was allowed a retake on the test, he achieved an 80%! Mr. L. was great at figuring out where my son was having difficulty and why. Mr. L. even had my son laughing through the lesson. Mr. L. not only understands the language of math but also how to teach it to his students. He was extremely patient and emphasized working out the problems, using the formulas and taking good notes. My son was not thrilled with having to be tutored but he really liked working with Mr. L. My son was not taking notes, and continued to try and do the math in his head. Needless to say he found himself not understanding the next chapters of Algebra to the fullest and although he was barely passing he could do better. I called Mr. L. and requested a tutoring session with very short notice. Mr. L. was easy to reach by phone and was available for another tutoring session. I would and I'm sure I will be calling Mr. L. again in the future when my son needs help with math. If you or your child is struggling and needs a tutor in Math I highly recommend Mr. L.
